Methodologies

A former executive in the technology industry, Joel Kelly, founder of Kelly Cove, incorporates elements of three global quality assurance initiatives into home building.

These standards and practices are commonly found within many of the world’s leading businesses. The goal is PERFECTION…that is, PERFECTION in designing and building the house of your dreams, delivering it to you on time, at -- or under -- budget.

Best of Breed

Best of Breed is a concept which commonly refers to the “best of the best.” Kelly Cove has developed processes through which sub-contractors are rated against a myriad of performance and quality standards. Over recent years, we have identified sub-contractors who consistently perform above our service level agreements.

ISO

ISO is a family of quality management systems managed by the International Organization for Standardization.  Some of the requirements to be an “ISO” certified organization include:

•A set of procedures that cover all key processes in the business;

•Monitoring processes to ensure they are effective;

•Keeping adequate records;

•Checking output for defects, with appropriate corrective action where necessary;

•Regularly reviewing individual processes and the quality system itself for effectiveness; and

•Facilitating continual improvement

Six Sigma

Six Sigma simply means a measure of quality that strives for near perfection. It is a disciplined, data-driven methodology for eliminating defects in any process -- from manufacturing to transactional and from product to service.

Kelly Cove is focused on optimizing the customer experience. To that end, our adoption of elements of these quality assurance initiatives keeps your project running smoothly and cost effectively.  In addition, our effective management of what happens behind the scenes with suppliers and local government, and having proven, duplicatable processes in place reduces your project completion time - and reduces your cost.

Kelly Cove continuously strives to improve what happens “behind the scenes” of your project.
